There are countless stories about mermaids, fairies, witches, healers, gypsies, elves and earthly goddesses, I studied a lot of their folklores for my fashion thesis and they really captivate your imagination, it must be their Celtic heritage. When you’re walking through the forests on the Camino you can see how the landscape evokes all that mythology too, you can perfectly imagine a fairy or an elf appearing out of the lush foliage to say hello. You even hear of pilgrims who are especially doing El Camino in search of magic and witches, I love that they never let that child inside of us flicker out.
